Let me introduce you to bro-ductivity.
With 300k followers on instagram, clearly he has got it figured out…
Discipline is everything, bro.
I wake up at 4:32am sharp.
Then, green-light sauna.
Smash 300g of oatmeal
48 minutes of gym.
0.9L of water.
Then I sit in silence and ‘deep work’
…until my eyeballs bleed. My routine is more dialled than my phone.
Sometimes I even padlock myself in the room until I get my work done.
Once, I forgot the code.
Spent 4 days hallucinating and trying to remember it.
But hey, that’s discipline, right?Anything for productivity.
My willpower’s insane.
I’m also kinda depressed.
But that’s just the cost of greatness, yeah? They say discipline is freedom.
I don’t feel free.
But one day… maybe.Anyways, I got sh*t to do.
Let’s be honest.
There’s a massive problem with the way we worship productivity.
You optimise every second.
Hack every habit.
Stack routines like Lego bricks.
And in doing that, you lose touch
with the very thing you were trying to improve:
Yourself.
You can get all the sh*t done but it won’t solve the real issues.
Avoiding your pain.
Avoiding your past.
Avoiding the truth that scares the hell out of you.
This isn’t “deep work.”
It’s deep distraction.
And your body knows it.
Your system starts to rebel when your
inner world is tired of being ruled like a machine.
The parts of you you’ve silenced - such as the child, the teenager - they’re not gone.
They’re inside you.
And they’re protesting against your oppression.
So they hijack your self-control.
They hand you compulsions instead:
Alcohol.
Smoking.
Gaming.
Food.
Porn.
Scrolling.
Think self-destruction under the alias of “it’s just how I am.”
Some call it self-sabotage.
But in truth, it’s more than sabotage.
It’s an internal revolt.
A cry from the depths of you:
“I’m not your employee. I’m not your robot. I’m not your enemy.
I’m your pain. And I need you.”
So what now?
You can’t bully your way to wholeness.
You can’t intimidate your soul into trusting you.
Discipline without connection is just control.
And guess what?
Control always breaks.
Real self-leadership doesn’t come from barking orders at yourself.
It comes from building a relationship with each part you’ve tried to override.
The youngster you despise for not standing up to their bullies?
The lost and lonely teenager you’re ashamed of?
The employee you resent for being unable to quit their soul-draining job?
Yes, there they are.
Listen.
They don’t want a dictator.
They want a leader.
Take 3 actions for results today:
Sit with your rebellion.
Instead of pushing through, pause.
Ask yourself: What part am I trying to control right now?Write a letter to the part of you that’s resisting.
Let it speak, without judgment. Allow words to form on the page.Do one act of kindness for your system.
Not a habit. Not a hack. Something nourishing.
Like calling a friend. Like sitting in nature. Like resting without guilt.
Final word.
You are not broken. You are divided.
Your job is not to conquer your inner world, it’s to reunite it.
You are already a leader.
The question is:
Will you rule with fear, or lead with truth?
One builds a cage.
The other builds a kingdom.
Deep down, you know the answer.
You got this.
At your side, always
Oliver
