Q: How can I stop beating myself up when I don’t feel great?
A: With the Body Squad…
Tool #3: Body Squad
What is it?
Think of your body as a football team with different roles. Goalkeeper, defenders, midfielders, and forwards.
Just like football players work together to win the game, your body parts – skin, organs, mind, nervous system etc. – need to function in harmony so you can win in life.
For the FIFA players out there, it doesn’t matter if your ultimate team has 95 star rating, you know – with only 25 chemistry, you’ll have a hard time scoring, let alone winning.
Each part of your body is like an essential player on the field.
When one player is neglected, it’s like trying to play with only 10 players on the pitch. The team struggles, and so does your body.
To perform at your best, every “player” needs attention and care, working together in synergy to keep you strong and balanced.
How to apply it?
Give time and attention to every part of your body.
Mind, physical body, spirit, and everything in between, down to the individual white blood cells working to keep you well.
Treat each part like a valuable player on your team.
Practise gratitude for each of them. Just as you’d cheer on your favourite football team, cheer on your body.
Acknowledge the effort your mind makes to stay focused, the work your muscles do to keep you active, and the resilience of your immune system.
Genuinely. After recovering from a recent bout of flu, I thanked my white blood cells for putting in a shift. It may sound esoteric, but it is gratitude expression at the foundation level.
Remember, neglecting one part means the whole team suffers. But when you nurture and support each player, you’ll feel the benefits across your entire body.
A balanced, well-cared-for team can achieve anything, and so can you.
Why it works?
Your body is the foundation of your wellbeing. When you are rested, eating healthy, and thinking clearly, you unlock your full potential. Vitality is at the core of everything you can achieve.
Think about it. When your health falters, everything else falls apart too.
Work grinds to a halt, and your relationships take a backseat. Because in the end, when your body demands attention, It becomes the top priority.
You can’t operate at your best when you’re unwell. Try working at full capacity when you’re sick and stuck in bed, it’s impossible.
That’s why taking care of every part of your body matters. It’s the key to sustaining everything else in your life.
Remember: take care of your body and it will take care of you.

Q: Why can’t I stick with exercise?
A: Because you haven’t found your Magnetic Movement yet…
Tool #4: Magnetic Movement
What is it?
Magnetic Movement is the type of physical activity that truly resonates with you.
It could be running, yoga, boxing, hiking, skipping, lifting, stretching. Anything, as long as it gets you moving.
Many people claim they don’t like exercise, but often, they simply haven’t discovered their own magnetic movement.
I.e. the form of movement that feels natural, enjoyable, and fulfilling to them. The type of movement that sticks.
How to apply it?
Try everything.
You won’t know what your magnetic movement is until you get out there and experiment. Many activities won’t click with you, and that’s perfectly okay.
You’re not a failure because you struggle with salsa dancing. Plenty of very successful people are crap dancers. So they don’t force themselves to dance.
Don’t quit after one bad experience.
Keep looking, because I guarantee there’s an activity out there that you’ll genuinely enjoy. And when you find it, exercise becomes less of a chore and more of a joy.
One useful strategy is playing to your strengths. Your body type, your skills etc.
For me, it’s hiking.
So, when I need to move, the walking boots go on and I hike.
It never fails to recharge my batteries, cleanse my mind and get the endorphins flowing.
Find what feels good to you, and movement will become a part of your life, not just another task on your list.
Why it works?
We naturally stick with things we enjoy.
When we don’t enjoy an activity, no matter how much we try to push ourselves, it will always feel like a chore.
The moment exercise becomes something we have to do, is when we stop doing it.
On one level, your inner kid starts throwing a tantrum because you’ve taken the fun out of something that they used to have fun with.
They didn’t give a toss about hitting goals, weight loss targets or tracking their macros. They just wanted to play.
So play. Make it less about the gains and more about the games.
Because to them, exercise, movement, sport, play all boils down to the same thing.
Fun.
Now, if you’re training for a marathon, it’s a different story. But for most of us who just want to stay fit, exercise should be fun.
Think about how easy it is to plan something you are looking forward to.
Now, go find your magnetic movement, and make staying active something you can actually enjoy.
Remember: if you make exercise fun, you won’t need to force yourself to do it.
Next time on the Transformation Toolbox…

I’d like to mention, we are covering the outer reaches of confidence here, the exterior stuff.
We both know real confidence is about what’s inside and don’t worry. We are getting there. I’m saving the best tools until last.
But having said that, I want to expand out of deep introspection because I am aware that not everyone wants to delve into the depths right off the bat.
Consider this series a more comprehensive journey from start to finish.
With these 10 tools, the confidence codex and a subscription to real confidence, you won’t need another piece of information ever again.
My mission with this publication is to give you everything you need to master confidence that lives within you.
